Just realized "Smoking Pipes and Eating Fatty Meat" in Tom Goes to the Mayor is a metaphour for Tom's severe crippling fat fetish. The combination of smoking pipes and eating fatty meats is openly described as undesirable as and extremely unhealthy, especially for children, because it is an analogy to how Tom’s intense obsession with obese women led him to an abusive, lovely marriage to the selfish Joy. Pipe camp itself is a metaphor for how his he doesn’t want his adopted boys to grow up like him,but his addiction to having sex (smoking pipe) with fat women (eating fatty meat) is too strong.

Despite Joy's constant abuse of Tom,leaving him in a state of constant poverty and paranoia,he is still deeply infatuated with her, while he frames it as a selfless devotion to her and her boys,it becomes clear in his vivid dream sequences that he has a purly sexual fixation on her.

Sauceman’s Family Saucehouse-Style Saucehouse Restaurant is a metaphour for Tom’s need for companionship,or "sauce" for his meat, but meat not being included is a metaphour that finding friends online lacks true substance
