    despite superficially seeming leftist against eugenics,one could argue Gattaca is a right leaning film rejecting modernity and transhumanism instead looking for the traditional human will. Vincent is the 1% chance of not succomonb to his heart conditions,proving he is more than his genes

    while not Inherently pro faith or traditionalism fully,I mean Vincent's goal is space travel,it does show the world of Gattaca as secularized and neoliberal. superficially defeating racism and sexism while imposing a new class on natural born and modified humans.

    ultimately Gattaca's thesis is not that everyone is intrinsically equal by law or spirit,but that humans are fundamentaly unequal,and the repression will only manifest in different ways. Vincent isn't equal to the modified humans,but through sheer will and perseverance he is superiour.

    ironically despite having Nietzschean themes,the film also goes to satirize why a Nietzchean society wouldn't work,as while Vincent has a will to power he is still technically an Untermensch who "stalls progress",rather the film has a more optimistically egoist and Camus like view.

    Ultimately the film presents a paradox. That the many imposing their will on the few is wrong and unjust,but the few imposing their will on the many is right and moral. Vincent's story isn't one of revolutionary dysgenics, but rather an intelligent determined man forcing the world to bend to his selfish desires,and that is a good thing.

The Field Marshal's Home.The little face nublets represent how Oney and Oneyplays are always in Ding Dong's ears and the tuba being infused into his body is due to how intertwined his history is with it.
